Compuestos activos involucrados: Alcaloides, Flavonoides, Glucósidos, Protodioscina, Saponinas, Terpenos

Tribulus terrestris and female reproductive system health: A comprehensive review.

BACKGROUND: Tribulus terrestris L. (T. terrestris) positive performance on the male sexual system has been confirmed, but little is known about its effects on the female reproductive system. PURPOSE: This review discussed in detail the beneficial impact of T. terrestris and its secondary metabolites on the female reproductive system.

Tribulus Terrestris for Female Sexual Dysfunction: A Systematic Review.

OBJECTIVE:  We performed a systematic review to assess the effectiveness and safety of DATA SOURCES:  We performed unrestricted electronic searches in the MEDLINE, CENTRAL, EMBASE, LILACS, CINAHL, PsycINFO, WHO-ICTR, Clinicaltrials.gov and OpenGrey databases. SELECTION OF STUDIES:  We included any randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared DATA COLLECTION:  Data extraction was performed by two reviewers with a preestablished data collection formulary. DATA SYNTHESIS:  Due to lack of data and clinical heterogeneity, we could not perform meta-analyses. The risk of bias was assessed by t

Puncture vine (Tribulus Terrestris L.) in control of health and reproduction.

Tribulus terrestris, L. (puncture vine) have been used as a folk medicine for five thousands of years, but its targets, effects, their mechanisms and application requires further studies. This paper reviews the provenance, constituents and properties of Tribulus terrestris, L., its general physiological and health effects, as well as the currently available knowledge concerning its influence on male and female reproductive processes and their dysfunctions. Analysis of the available publications demonstrated the influence of Tribulus terrestris on a wide spectrum of targets and physiological pr

Role of Tribulus terrestris in Male Infertility: Is It Real or Fiction?

Tribulus terrestris is an annual herb of the Zygophyllaceae family and is commonly known as Gokshur, Gokharu, or puncturevine. Flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, lignin, amides, and glycosides are the main active phytoconstituents of this plant. Infertility is defined by the failure to conceive a child after one year or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Infertility affects society at large and has a negative impact on the social and emotional aspects of the patient. This in-depth review presents several studies that evaluate the role of Tribulus terrestris in a chronological order

Seguridad y Precauciones
