En lo que respecta al periodo de gestación y la etapa de lactancia, no existe evidencia científica clínica suficiente que garantice la inocuidad de la ingesta de Eugenia uruguayensis en mujeres embarazadas. Debido a la ausencia de estudios toxicológicos que evalúen el paso de los metabolitos secundarios de la planta a través de la placenta, se debe evitar su consumo para prevenir posibles efectos teratogénicos o alteraciones en el desarrollo fetal. En el caso de la lactancia, la falta de datos sobre la excreción de compuestos fitoquímicos en la leche materna obliga a mantener una postura de precaución extrema, ya que el lactante podría recibir dosis no controladas que afecten su sistema enzimático inmaduro. Para la población pediátrica, específicamente niños menores de 12 años, el uso de esta especie no está recomendado. Los sistemas metabólicos, renales y hepáticos de los niños se encuentran en constante desarrollo y son más susceptibles a la toxicidad por compuestos secundarios como taninos o aceites esenciales, que podrían provocar irritación gastrointestinal severa o alteraciones en la absorción de nutrientes esenciales. En cuanto a las interacciones farmacológicas, se debe tener especial cuidado con la administración de warfarina (anticoagulantes orales).
