Effect of Heteropterys aphrodisiaca on Anxiety and Male Exposure of Female Mice with Advanced Age.

BACKGROUND: Effect of Heteropterys aphrodisiaca (dog-node) on anxiety and function of adult female wistar mice. The project is an experiment with the use of H. aphrodisiac root extract, in order to observe the frequency of sexual exposure of females exposed to the extract, quantify the effect of the extract on the concentration of total testosterone and observe the anxiety levels of the animals exposed. Results will be measured with the laboratory testosterone test and LCE and CA tests. METHODS: In preparation of the extract, the root was oven dried at 40°C and diluted in alcohol extract (100g

Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Profiles of Two Mexican

Depression and anxiety are recognized as the most common mental diseases worldwide. New approaches have considered different therapeutic targets, such as oxidative stress and the inflammation process, due to their close association with the establishment and progression of mental diseases. In the present study, we evaluated the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of the methanolic extracts of the plant species

Neuropharmacological in vivo effects and phytochemical profile of the extract from the aerial parts of Heteropterys brachiata (L.) DC. (Malpighiaceae).

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Heteropterys brachiata is a plant species that has been used in traditional Mexican medicine for the treatment of nervous disorders. AIM OF THE STUDY: To evaluate the anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, antidepressant and sedative effects produced by the methanolic extract of Heteropterys brachiata (HbMeOH) in ICR mice. Additionally, we determine the acute toxicity profiles of the extract and the presence of its main constituents. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The neuropharmacological effects of the extract were evaluated using a variety of models, such as the elevated plus maz

Neurophysiological studies of Heteropteris glabra Hok. & Arn. (Malpighiaceae) in DBA/2J mice.

Fruits of Heteropterys glabra (Malpighiaceae) are used in South-American folk medicine as a sedative and anxiolytic agent. In present research, we studied neurophysiological effects of the plant. Ethanolic extract was assayed in DBA/2J mice in order to evaluate the sleep wakefulness cycle, electroencephalogram (EEG) and visual evoked potentials (VEP). The results of our experiments indicated that the EtOH extract of the plant induced a reduction of motor activity and alterations of EEG and VEP parameters, supporting the possibility that the plant acts as an anxiolytic/sedative agent, thus, con

More resistant tendons obtained from the association of Heteropterys aphrodisiaca and endurance training.

BACKGROUND: Popular Brazilian medicine uses Heteropterys aphrodisiaca infusion as a tonic or stimulant, for the treatment of nervous debility and breakdown and for muscle and bone weakness. This study investigated the effects of Heteropterys aphrodisiaca infusion on the tendon properties and extracellular matrix of rats under endurance training. METHODS: Wistar rats were grouped as follows: CS- control sedentary, HS- H. aphrodisiaca sedentary, CT-control trained, HT- H. aphrodisiaca trained.

Seguridad y Precauciones
